What You Should Know

  • Nouns name people, places, things, or animals.
  • Verbs show action or tell what someone or something does.
  • Every complete sentence needs a noun (subject) and a verb.
  • Singular nouns use verbs with -s (The dog runs).
  • Plural nouns use verbs without -s (The dogs run).

1. Find all the nouns in this sentence: "The farmer grows vegetables in his garden."
