Reading a Chart
When we look at a chart, we can:
- Read the top row - This tells us what each column is about
- Look down each column - These are helpers that do the same type of job
- Compare helpers - We can see how helpers are alike and different
💡 Examples
Example 1: Who Keeps Us Safe?
Look at the chart above. Find the column that says "Keep Us Safe."
Answer: 👮 Police Officer and 👨🚒 Firefighter keep us safe!
Example 2: Where Does the Doctor Go?
A doctor helps people feel better when they are sick. Which column does the doctor belong in?
Answer: The doctor goes in the "Keep Us Healthy" column! 👩⚕️
Example 3: Counting Helpers
How many helpers are in the "Help Us Learn" column?
Answer: There are 2 helpers: 👩🏫 Teacher and 📚 Librarian!
