Our fingers are great for counting! Let's practice:
1 - One finger up!
2 - Two fingers up!
3 - Three fingers up!
4 - Four fingers up!
5 - All five fingers up! That's a whole hand!

Look at each picture. Count the objects carefully. Point to each one as you count!

Answer: There are 3 stars! One... two... three!

Activity 1: Count Around the Room
Look around the room! Can you find:
- 1 door?
- 2 windows?
- 3 chairs?
- 4 books?
- 5 toys?
Point to each thing as you count!
Activity 2: Snack Counting
At snack time, practice counting!
- Count how many crackers you have.
- Count how many grapes are on your plate.
- Count your carrot sticks before you eat them!
Activity 3: Finger Fun
Practice with a grown-up:
- Hold up 1 finger. Say "One!"
- Hold up 2 fingers. Say "Two!"
- Keep going up to 5!
- Now count backwards: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!
