Review Mistakes

📖 Learn

In this lesson, you will learn how to learn from your mistakes. Making mistakes is okay! Mistakes help us learn and get better.

Why Review Mistakes?

  • Learn New Words: When you miss a word, you can learn what it really means.
  • Get Smarter: Understanding your mistakes makes you smarter!
  • Do Better Next Time: You will not make the same mistake again.

Remember: Mistakes are not bad. They are chances to learn!

Three Steps to Review Mistakes

  1. Find the Mistake: Look at which question you got wrong.
  2. Understand Why: Think about why the right answer is correct.
  3. Practice Again: Try a similar question to make sure you understand.

💡 Examples

Let's practice reviewing mistakes together.

Example Mistake 1

Question: [Picture of a turtle] This animal is:

  • A) fast
  • B) slow
  • C) loud
  • D) tall

Wrong Answer: A) fast

Right Answer: B) slow

Remember: Slow = moving not fast, taking a long time

Example Mistake 2

Question: Find the picture for ROUGH

  • A) [Silk cloth]
  • B) [Sandpaper]
  • C) [Glass]
  • D) [Water]

Why? Rough means bumpy and scratchy. Sandpaper feels rough. Silk is smooth, which is the opposite of rough.

Remember: Rough = bumpy, scratchy, not smooth

Example Mistake 3

Question: The bear _____ during winter.

  • A) swims
  • B) hibernates
  • C) flies
