When people work together, they can do more than they could alone! Teamwork helps families, schools, and communities be better places.

What is Teamwork?

Teamwork is when people work together to reach a goal. When we work as a team, we share the work and help each other. Together, we can do big things!

Why Working Together Matters

Working together is important because:

Let's see how people work together in different places.

Example 1: Working Together at Home

The Smith family is cleaning the house together.

  • Mom washes the dishes
  • Dad vacuums the floor
  • Sister picks up toys
  • Brother makes his bed

Result: The whole house is clean in no time because everyone helped!

Example 2: Working Together at School

A group of students is making a poster together.

  • One student draws pictures
  • Another student writes the words

  • Everyone shares ideas

Result: They make a beautiful poster that is better than what one person could make alone!

Example 3: Working Together in the Community

Neighbors are cleaning up the park together.

  • Some people pick up trash

Result: The park looks beautiful and everyone can enjoy it!

Example 4: Taking Turns

At recess, Maya and Sam both want to use the swing.

Good teamwork: They take turns! Maya swings for 2 minutes, then Sam swings for 2 minutes. They both get to play!

Example 5: Sharing

Emma has crayons and Liam has paper. They want to draw pictures.

Good teamwork: Emma shares her crayons with Liam. Liam shares his paper with Emma. Now they can both draw!
